Raising My Voice - Our Programs at Work!

As part of our Whole Woman approach to reentry, our women have the opportunity to tell their inspiring stories that they have been developing as part of the Raising My Voice Program offered to our Magdalene House West residents and Beyond the Gates Mentees.

Raising My Voice is a leadership training program for formerly incarcerated individuals that helps participants develop public speaking skills, prepares them to serve as advocates for effective, humane reentry policies and practices, and fosters civic engagement.  With CirclesofSupport.org, we are training our staff and residents to facilitate this program for long term sustainability.  In addition to developing public speaking skills, the process of talking about the trauma that led to their incarceration and the journey of reentry, is an important part of their healing.

Watch some of the incredible women of Bridges Reentry share their stories of healing and resiliency below.
