When I first started in ministry after 20 years in business, I came across a little book that caught my attention-Jesus CEO-Using Ancient Wisdom for Visionary Leadership-written by Laurie Beth Jones. I thought about this book again as our team at Bridges Reentry began planning a birthday campaign to celebrate and acknowledge the leaders in our lives.

You might think that people are born leaders, but at Bridges Reentry, we believe leadership is learned, lived, and begins with healing. Lived experiences-the good, the bad, and the ugly-shape and inform leadership for the future. All past experiences contribute to healing of mind, body, and spirit and inform accountability and creativity for the future. That’s why Bridges Reentry is anchored in our Whole Woman Wellness strategy that embraces healing the physical, emotional, spiritual, and economic well- being of every individual.

Women in the Bridges Reentry programs are committing to their own growth and well- being as they learn to heal and transform. They are the closest to the problems of their lived experiences and the closest to the solutions. Helping them heal so they can become the best they can be is teaching them leadership. You cannot be a leader if you do not know who you are.

Celebrating Women Rising – Resilience and Leadership

Bridges Reentry will continue, with your help and support, to provide pathways of leadership for justice-involved women by helping them heal, learn new skills, management experience, and economic independence. I hope you are inspired by the stories of women rising over the next 3 months. During this special campaign we invite you to celebrate the leaders in your lives with a donation to Bridges Reentry.

We are changing women’s lives with your support.

Sincerely,
